Zinn's Task: Deactivating R.O.X.-need help! - Guild Wars Forums

I've been trying to the mini-mission over and over but keep losing due two several reasons:

1. Salma kills herself
2. My henchman (since there are no real people that would help) keep killing themselves
3. I don't have enough firepower to kill the boss

Most of this stuff is happening when it comes to the boss though. I defeated P.O.X., but this lvl 29 R.O.X. is a whole different story!

My primary proffession is Ranger, and I recently changed my secondary to Elementalist. I have standard drakescale armor, and my most recent attack involved me using a two fire weapons, and most fire magic. I can't kill it! Any ideas? Builds? Walkthrougs? Glitches

? Strategies? ANYTHING!?

The hench in ToA are low level for that quest. Heroes are fine if given a good enough build, but the hench will make it harder. Although I don't know your build, based on your description I assume it is not very good. Fire weapons can be alright, but the "and most fire magic" part makes me think you are a R/E using spells you should not be using. Conjure Flame should be the only spell, although Mark of Rodgort could be useful. You only face Warriors, Dervishes, and Elementalists for the golems in that quest. So bringing builds for yourself and the heroes to tackle that is smart. Blocking skills like Guardian and Aegis on a Monk hero can benefit, blind from an Ele or traps, daze from BHA, and hexes like Backfire, Empathy, Spiteful Spirit, etc. can help a lot.

POX gave you a better selection of hench to use (based on level). I'd guess the biggest problem you face is the level of the hench in ToA. I've done that quest with the hench several times so it is possible. But if you can't get through it, ask your guild/alliance for help, or at least donation of heroes.

Just bring a mesmer hero with a build based on empathy, a necro with spiteful spirit and insidious parasite , and maybe a ritualist with the spirit spam build.
